Summary

Dunn Building Company has been selected to design and construct an 8,200 SF addition to the existing material warehouse for Valley Joist + Deck located in Fort Payne, AL. This will be the Phase III expansion of the Joist Fabrication Facility. Dunn has been the Design-Build Partner with Valley Joist on each of the previous phases of construction. The scope of the project includes an 80'W x 100'L x 33'-6" Low Eave Ht Pre-Engineered Metal Building, and a 10'W x 20'L x 11'-6" Low Eave Ht Lean-To Equipment Shed, both to match the existing building. The current bridge crane runway will be extended by 100' into the new addition. Site Grading and Roof Drainage Piping, Reinforced Concrete Foundations, Crushed Stone Floor Fill, Forced Air Ventilation, and Electrical Power / Lights to match existing are all included in the scope of work. Final design document production began on 4/16/24. Construction is expected to begin in August of 2024 and Substantial Completion will be achieved in December of 2024.
